How Much Critical Mass Can City Sustain?
There seem to be two Critical Mass movements taking root in the Fort.
The first contender holds its event on the last Friday of every month and meets at Lawton Park. This particular mass movement has already been established, as the group was last seen at the downtown Art Crawl.
The seeming newcomer, shown below from a flyer at IPFW, is holding its mass event on the last Saturday of every month and meeting at the downtown main branch of the Allen County Public Library.
In nuclear reactions, the critical mass is the smallest amount of material needed to sustain a nuclear chain reaction.
Is Fort Wayne’s need for bicycle acknowledgement so great that it needs two simultaneous reactions?

Fort Waynians have spoken and clearly they say: Give us Critical Mass !
The Fort needs as much critical mass as possible. Don’t worry about a thing, the Fort can handle it.
Agreed, Andy.
It would be less confusing and more effective to take the Captain Planet approach, though.
“By our powers combined, we are Fort Wayne’s Critical mass!”
the saturday event is not the actual ride. the two rides have spoken and the ride is friday. the simotaneous ride on saturday was unaware of the completely coincidental ride on friday.
On Skyscraperpage.com there’s an excellent photo set from a Critical Mass event in Vancouver at:
