Building A Ballpark
Just in case you haven’t been by the ballpark at Harrison Square lately, above is a shot from the OxBlue webcam that sits atop the Summit Square building.
The view of the ballpark also shows how close the at-risk GE campus is to Harrison Square.
Places like Heinz Lofts in Pittsburgh should be looked to for adaptive reuse inspiration if and when the time comes that the GE campus becomes vacant.
I would even posit to say that the GE campus would become a greater redevelopment priority than the North River site at that point, given its historical value and potential for reuse.
