Hardball Gets 3-Way Liquor License On The Cheap

As noted by Councilmember Mitch Harper on Fort Wayne Observed, the Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission approved a resolution that would give the City of Fort Wayne control of a three-way liquor license for the sum of $1000.

The City is allowed to own an alcoholic beverage permit outside of the quota restrictions that normally control their issuance. The City will own the actual permit while Hardball Capital will manage the flow of libations at Harrison Square.

Considering that Hardball Capital just received a three-way liquor license essentially for free, we would only humbly ask that it be put to good use beyond the given and mundane Bud/Coors/Miller set so regularly seen at sporting events.

It would do well to keep on hand products that are the derivatives of American owned companies, unlike those mentioned above. It would be even better to stock local products such as brews from Mad Anthony and Warbird, with additional consideration given to other Indiana-based breweries.

How’s that for a “Buy Indiana” plan?

  1. I fear anything outside of the crap domestic triumvirate will be sold at an even more insane markup, though.

  2. What about Pabst Blue Ribbon?
