“Zombie Walk.
It’s a new addition to Fright Night, the Downtown Improvement District’s citywide celebration of Halloween (a week early).
Zombie Walk, which starts at 4 p.m. Saturday, is a re-enactment of a scene from a George Romero film.
Transform yourself into a zombie using whatever cosmetics, costumes and histrionics you have at your disposal and then join (hopefully) hundreds of similarly disheveled others for a shamble around the city’s center. Flesh-eating is optional and is steered toward steers.”

“Face painters from Tag Art will be on hand starting at 3 p.m. to help hasten the zombification process, but Waskiewicz strongly urges impassioned reanimators to embalm themselves as much as possible.
The zombies will start at the downtown library plaza and end up at Grand Wayne Center.”
[...]
“Ghost stories will be told in the Indiana Hotel lobby, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” will be screened in the outdoor gardens of the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory, haunted bus and walking tours will be conducted by ARCH (Architecture and Community Heritage), the terrifying silent classic “Nosferatu” will be shown at the Embassy Theatre (with Dennis James playing the original score for the film on the Grand Page organ), the History Center will offer tours of its jail, and a slew of activities will take place at Grand Wayne Center.”

The zombie parade was great, we really enjoed it!!! We did not realize that other events would be so costly, as the program on the website said most events were free. We didn’t bring enough money to do the things we hoped. Still, much fun was had, and we will be back next year to haunt the downtown. We did get a chance to go on the first bus tour (10.00 each), and the scariest part of the ride was the 45 foot bus trying to squeeze down residential side streets!!! It was an intresting and educational trip, and I would recommend it.
