Thanks for the link – this is going to be fun wandering the streets of the Fort via Google.
Some of the pics must have been taken a little over a year ago. The old Subway is still standing at Harrison Square, but the Centro Americana restaurant is toast.
So very awesome. Believe it or not, I was just wondering yesterday when we were ever going to get this!
Cool!
I found my house! and I see Republican HQ had Matt Kelty for Mayor signs in their window!
looks like the images are low-quality. i’ve seen other cities with higher quality images. also, not all of fort wayne has been captured yet. i live northeast fort wayne, near maplecrest/stellhorn and street view isn’t available there yet.
Now it is even easier for people to see the lack of buildings downtown. But people shouldn’t be able to complain about not finding a parking spot.
And this rated a front page space in the J-G?
Based on the yard signs in my front yard, which included the sign for Candidates Night at the Northside Neighborhood Association, the pictures were taken shortly before April 23 or October 15, 2007. Based on Kevin’s observation that RHQ sported a Kelty sign, I presume that Oct. 15 is more likely.
Both cool and creepy at the same time.
If i thought that Big Brother was creepy before, then I was living in a dream. It’s totally way out of control.
