I have to agree with John on this. It seems that all the rhetoric about working with the county has been empty.

Oh, and I didn't mention the takeover of the county "temporary" Food & Beverage Tax so it will continue as a tax forever - and can be spent on anything that the city administration desires without having to consult any elected fiscal entity!

Does it seem to anyone else that the City of Fort Wayne's present and last administrations have been trying to separate the city from Allen County, instead of trying to work together? "Move the ballpark from operation by the county to a city-controlled non-elected group": "Run the Grand Wayne Center in a way to avoid any members on the board of control that do not live in the city": now,"pull out of the City/C ounty Building and Parking Garage" Plus put as many obstacles in the way of a single 911 system as they can to insure that the city has their piece of the pie forever!
The Fort Wayne electorate sure voted in a couple of winners in the last two mayorial contests!
