Thanks for all the work you put into this site and DFWB over the past few years! I’ll definitely miss the site and especially all the amazing photographs…

Thanks for the time you spent making this site great.
I can tell you that if you have a blog, it takes a lot of time, energy and research to do it well. Brian and Scott did just that for most of this blog’s life. Over the last few months the content has waned to more of a copy and paste of other sources articles, so I wasn’t surprised about this announcement.
They’re both young, and I’m sure are working on their education and careers. I wish them well in those endeavors.
Maybe you should step-up to the plate?
Then again…

I can assure you it was completely “tongue-in-cheek”. I know the two guys and followed them ever since the beginning of the Downtown Fort Wayne Baseball blog. I appreciate all the work they’ve done in keeping people up to date on ballpark happenings when it was in its early stages, and recently, downtown happenings. Just a little disappointed…did not expect this! I hope we do hear why the sudden announcement though at some point.
Well, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to comment or not, but AWB pretty much hit the nail on the head.
It takes a lot of time and effort to do this stuff. What it comes down to was my not having the time / not being willing to make the time comparative to other priorities to keep the site going at the level of quality that I harbor for myself. The domain’s registration is set to expire before the end of the year and the decision was made not to renew.
I will probably do a post or two about the City’s Bike Task Force in the future, but it will likely be on Fort Wayne Politics instead of here.
For those that are interested you can still follow my pictures through my Flickr page.
Thanks for the posts! Being away at school, you kept me up to date on quite a bit!

NO!! What the heck! I was in the same boat as Ashley. Being away, I don’t always have the time to scroll through news sites looking for stories and you guys made it much easier. Oh well fellas….totally understand! I would not have been able to last a week doing this site and you kept it up for a few years! Thanks to both of you!
Thanks for all the time and labor you’ve put into this Brian and Scott. I don’t know if you realize how much you were filling a need for others as you pursued this journey. You will no doubt find times when you miss putting this blog together as much as your readers and followers miss fulfilling their roles. With great gratitude, I wish you many blessings and luck as you pursue future endeavors. Will just have to catch ya at the ballpark from now on.
Thanks, guys, for the dedicated effort you’ve put into this, and the high standard of professionalism you’ve maintained. I realize this isn’t the only way you’ve been involved in working to make Fort Wayne a good place to live, work, and play, and I look forward to seeing evidence of your activism in other places and running into you from time to time. Scott, keep up the excellent photography (I’m sure you will).
I’d encourage you guys to renew the domain and keep it running just for the archive of information here. Or, archive it somewhere else. Lots of good content here that I’d hate to see disappear.
Congrats on moving onto new projects.

gents thanks for you superb work
This will be missed.
Sorry to see this. Maybe there’s someone else out there that would take over the blog?
Always enjoyed the great photos! Will be missed.
You guys didn’t just pull a “Summit Club” on us did you?
Joe,
Okay, maybe you’re trying to be funny, maybe not.

Again, thanks for reading.
Aww, sorry to see the blog go! You were one of my favorite news sources. See you around!
Thanks for the posts! Being away at school, you kept me up to date on quite a bit!

Thanks for all you have shared with us via this blog. I will be leaving it in my blogroll for a while though … it’s nice to come back and re-visit!
Guys, many thanks. This was definitely a regular read for me.
Sorry to see the blog come to a close. Robert Frost was right – nothing gold can stay.
You both have been a major force in making FW a better place.
Thanks for all the hard work/energy you put into this blog.
Whilst this adventure is over, there will be new opportunities around the corner! Good Luck!
A great website. I will definitely miss it. Best wishes.
So unfortunate..how ever will I know what happen-in events will be going down…sigh
By the way (AMAZING!!!) photos Scott
Great job guys. Thanks!
Your site helped me plug in to the Fort even before we moved back. It also initiated our friendship. I’ll miss the blog, but keep the friendships.

Gents, your content will be missed. Living in NY, I enjoyed your blog as a way to stay “in-touch” with the downtown I called home just before moving.
Keep up the good photos or perhaps just do a photo only blog?
Bravo.
Nick

Was there ever any follow up or continuation or a downtown blog?
